Learning from the past. Knowledge for the future.
EdWorks is a subsidiary of the nationally-recognized KnowledgeWorks Foundation, focused solely on answering the national call to build great high schools—high-performing, agile, accountable organizations that emerge from and are supported by effective, local and state systems.
KnowledgeWorks entered the high school improvement arena in 2002 at the primary point of service delivery, the school. Through the Ohio High School Transformation Initiative (OHSTI) and the Ohio Early College High School Network (ECHS), KnowledgeWorks set out to change forever the way in which our high schools are designed and operated, moving them from assembly-line, factory model institutions to agile learning organizations for the 21st century.
Since 2003, the EdWorks team has launched more than 90 small, personalized high schools, ranging from traditional college preparatory arts and humanities academies to innovative STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and Early College High School (ECHS) models. More than 80 percent of our portfolio represents the high school “redesign” concept.
