The Director of Research, Evaluation and Accountability works with the EDWorks Chief Innovation Officer and the National Directors of New Start, Fast Track STEMLab and Coaching Strategies and other members of the EDWorks team to identify, capture and report student and teacher outcomes and trends in development of 21st century skills and practices in EDWorks sites. Work will support EDWorks’ focus on empowering first-generation college-goers and traditionally underserved students to graduate from high school better prepared for college.

The Chief/Director has primary responsibility for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive plan to achieve annual partnership targets. The Chief/Director is responsible for management of a portfolio of new and existing relationships with clients, funders and other partners. The Chief/Director of Strategic Development and Partnerships is responsible for directing lead generation, qualification and allocation strategies, and ensuring accurate monitoring and forecasting of contract generation against annual goals.
The successful Chief/Director will engage with clients and funders at every stage of the development process, identifying, researching, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual clients and funders to effectively connect clients with EDWorks’ fee-for-service governance resources and secure philanthropic dollars. This includes developing proposals and agreements, coordinating grant stewardship, communication, and reporting, as well as assisting with, some aspects of client engagements or presentations.
EDWorks takes a team approach to accomplishing its development goals and objectives. A Manager of Partnership Development, with specific expertise in grant writing, reports directly to the Chief/Director of Strategic Development and Partnerships. In addition, many responsibilities and tasks are shared by more than one member of the EDWorks staff. For instance, each unique EDWorks design is championed by a Director, who holds the primary body of knowledge about the product and partners. These leaders may be called upon at any time to assist with development efforts. The Chief/Director of Strategic Development will take responsibility for ongoing collaboration and regular communications among all team members regarding strategies, tasks, and progress.
The Technical Assistance Coaches are deployed in the field to provide technical assistance to the instructional and leadership staff of schools by guiding them through the implementation of the EDWorks Model for High School Improvement.
All coaches are trained directly by the primary designers of the EDWorks Model, and a primary responsibility will be ensuring fidelity to implementation design and continued updating of knowledge and skills based on lessons learned.
