EDWorks maintains a network with the Ohio High School Transformation Initiative and Early College High School sites. Each site received intensive, on-site technical assistance, targeted professional development and frequent data collection and analysis, all integrated into a tightly-woven fabric of online and on-site support. After six years of intensive and productive work, the schools demonstrated significant results, which have laid the foundations for our current work.
- These schools report an average graduation rate of more than 91%. In addition, more than one in three students graduate from high school with both a high school diploma and two years of college credit or an associate degree. Others earn a range of college credits, shortening their time to degree complete after high school.
- More than 98% of 10th graders passed the reading portion of the 2009 Ohio Graduation Test (OGT). In fact, more than 90% of 10th graders scored proficient or higher on the OGT assessments in reading, writing, mathematics and social studies, outperforming the State in each of these categories.
- 79% of students at our partner schools earn at least 1 year of college credit and 1 in 3 earn an associate degree or 2 years of college credit while in high school.
